More Than a Pilot
Just as World War II was in its final months, Christian airmen in the armed forces realized that the Christian missionary effort could increase its range and effectiveness by the use of aviation. These Christian military pilots, no longer in the employ of the government, wanted to offer their specialized skills to the task of reaching the isolated and otherwise unreachable people of the world with the Gospel. Charlie Mellis was not just one of those pilots - he was a pioneer. This is his story skillfully - lovingly - written by his wife, Claire, who shared his remarkable life and ministry on a daily basis.
